April 27: Lourdes/San Sebastian/Loyola/Burgos

We left France this morning in the drizzly rain (intermittent heavy downpour) and gray skies.
We took a scenic drive thru San Sebastian on the Bay of Biscay. It is beautiful, full of history and lots of people. It was lovely but rained off and on so we were glad it was done on the tour bus and not on foot.
We continued on to Loyola for lunch and mass. More photos once we get to our hotel in Burgos.

We had a local guide for our walking tour of the Basilica at Loyola. We also toured the Holy House - where Ignatius convalesced and converted his heart to Jesus. We had a beautiful Divine Mercy Mass this afternoon in the chapel in the Holy House.

The Knights of Columbus from our parish donated a chalice to the parish. This one had Joe Carson's name engraved on it.

There was also a Holy Door at the Basilica - we all walked thru and prayed for the repose of Pope Francis.

We are currently driving 2 hours south to Burgos where we will check in to our hotel and have dinner. It is a beautiful drive so far - a bunch of very long tunnels plus some amazing views.
